My passion for breeding Mini Lops started the first time I sat quietly on the floor and one hopped over to nuzzle my hand — curious, unafraid, and utterly charming. I fell in love with their gentle personalities, bouncy joy, and the way they form real bonds with people. From that moment I wanted to give every Mini Lop the best start: healthy food, plenty of space to play, thoughtful socialisation, and lifelong care.
Breeding for me is not about show ribbons — it’s about temperament, health, and creating little companions who fit seamlessly into family life. I spent years learning rabbit husbandry, working with rabbit-savvy vets, and designing enriched environments where kits can be confident and curious. Seeing a shy kit learn to trust and become an affectionate pet is what keeps me doing this, season after season.

At Hokonui Hoppers, we focus on raising healthy, strong rabbits with proper diet, clean housing, and regular vet care. All our Mini Lops are well-socialised and desexed/vaccinated (where appropriate) before going to new homes. Our bunnies are handled from a young age, so they’re used to gentle interaction and human companionship. This makes them friendlier, calmer, and easier to bond with when they join your family.
We give our rabbits space to hop, play, and explore, not just sit in cages. Toys, tunnels, and safe playtime help them grow curious and confident. We carefully select for the classic Mini Lop look: round faces, chubby cheeks, soft coats, and those adorable loppy ears.
